Be Wary Of Google Adwords Recommendations

If you’re running ads on Google then you should be extremely wary of Google’s “Recommendations.”

They have a lot of suggested changes available in the account that can conveniently help you “improve” the account. But these changes don’t actually do that, they just change things to ensure you pay more and make Google more money.

Recomendations used to be used as a guide and easie to avoid..

In the case of one of our clients accounts which we recently took over, Google “automatically” turned off keywords, changed bid strategies, and opted them into networks like Display, which we’d purposely opted out of before launching the new campaigns.

Be cautious of  pecifically “Add new keywords,” “Expand your reach with Google search partners,” & “Upgrade your existing keywords to broad match.”.
